Install

Install the CLI for local use, and add the SDK for your agent's language if you are integrating one.

Install What you get Command
Homebrew Signed CLI release, macOS or Linux brew install Runeeward/tap/runeward
PyPI Python client and adapters (Python 3.9+) python -m pip install runeward
npm TypeScript client and tools (Node.js 18+) npm install @runeward/sdk

The SDKs connect to a running Rune Box API. They do not replace the CLI. See Adapters for optional framework dependencies.

Requirements

  • Docker, OrbStack or Podman for local sandboxes.
  • Optionally, Kubernetes and Helm for cluster deployments.
  • Run runeward doctor <policy> before launch to check the runtime and image.
